The O-Ring has an interesting history dating back to 1896, much of which inludes a familiar history to the Monopoly board game of moving from one patent owner to the next. And with such a simple design - literally, a piece of rubber mended into a ring - it's hard to believe that this little invention would become so high in demand. Yet sometimes, even the simpliest of things allow us to do big jobs.
