The 24 inch wide Southbend R24-5 countertop steamer is a very practical option for your foodservice establishment if you are tight on space. It has an electrically heated, boiler free steam generation system rated at 15 kilowatts and is constructed of durable stainless steel with coved corners inside for easy cleaning. The control panel includes an Illuminated cooking/off/de-lime switch, ready and cooking indicator lights, a 60 minute timer with audible alarm and liquid level controls. Steam flow to the cooking chamber is interrupted when the door is opened and is reactivated when the door is closed for safety and reduced energy consumption. Other standard features include a de-liming port located in the back of the unit for easy access and cleaning of the generator tank and split water connections for simple hookup to the water treatment system (included). This compact steamer accommodates 5 12” x 20” x 2 ½” pans which makes it the perfect companion for smaller foodservice operations.
