Tundra founder Michael Lewis was already a successful businessman back East when he sold the farm and moved to Boulder in the early ‘90s. He’d been around the corporate block and knew success didn’t always mean fulfillment. Boulder was about new beginnings.
It’s all about our customers. That’s why we’re here. We begin our decision making process by asking ‘what do our customers really want?’, then we do it!

This time he meant to keep it simple . A few equipment parts, some plumbing fixtures, and most importantly, a set of values to inspire baby Tundra to develop a meaningful relationship with customers. Those values drive our mission to solve the needs of our customers and ensure their success . Fulfilling that mission, we believed, would lead to our own success.
Well, Tundra has grown up. Turns out staying true to our principles really helps us provide the best customer experience possible.
Today
Tundra features over 50,000 products , a sweet ecommerce site with all the bells and whistles, a whole restaurant design and opening package team, and more smart customer service reps than you can shake a stick at.
Through it all Tundra has never forgotten that we are different because we put our values and therefore our customers first . Luckily for us we realized early on that helping customers achieve their goals doesn’t have to be a somber endeavor. Have fun is in our list of values twice, and Tundra does indeed strive to have twice as much fun as anyone else.
