Basting is a cooking technique that involves cooking meat with its own juices or some other sauce or marinade. The meat is left to cook, and then periodically coated with juice to keep the meat moist and to enhance flavor. These basting tools are used to spread the liquid over the meat. We have basting brushes, injectors and combinations of the two. Basting is most commonly used in grilling, rotisserie or roasting.
