It has an electrically heated, boiler free steam generation system rated at 9 kilowatts that is connectionless with no plumbing required and is constructed of durable stainless steel with coved corners inside for easy cleaning. The controls include an Illuminated cooking/off/ constant stem power switch, ready and cooking indicator lights, 60 minute timer and an add water indicator light with alarm that prevents your steamer from running dry. Steam flow to the cooking chamber is interrupted when the door is opened and is reactivated when the door is closed for safety and reduced energy consumption. Other standard features include removable stainless steel pan supports that accept 4 12” x 20” x 2 ½” pans, 4 inch legs and a removable steam diffuser plate that helps prevent food from falling into the water reservoir.
