          Thanks for your question.

          Actually, these Round Floor Drain Dome Strainers are often placed on the floor above the drain without being secured to the ground. This makes for easy removal and cleaning. That said, sometimes attachment bolts are used to secure the drain strainer to the actual drain, but often this is nothing more than a long screw and appropriate nut combination.
