Caring For Your Dexter Knives

Make your commercial knife investment last by practicing a proper care regimen. Avoid placing your cutlery in automatic dishwashers; caustic detergents can stain and degrade your blade, and for wood-handled products, these chemicals will quickly deteriorate the natural oils and pigments of the wood itself. Plus, in an automatic dishwasher the blades of your knives can rub against each other and dull more quickly. Clean your Dexter knives with warm, soapy water, and avoid leaving the cutlery soaking or submerged in water for long periods of time. After washing, towel-dry to avoid water spots or staining. Clean after each use to ensure a long-lasting, beautiful (and sharp!) Dexter knife!
