        It can be recycled for use but not for commercial use. It will not stand up to dishwasher heat so it must be hand washed. It is designed to break down and degrade. It will do that efficiently.

        It depends where you live. In Boulder, Colorado, for instance, drinking cups cannot be recycled at local facilities. Some cups can be composted, but this one does not say that it is compostable.
