We typically loose these little Coopers before they quit working. Quick read, needle point gets to where it needs to be. In a high use/abuse enviroment we get 18 months or so of soild use. Have a couple that are older. A little pricy, seem to have a longer life span. They have the battery at Radio Shack.

submerge sensor probe in ice water to determine accuracy...change digital read out with button sequence (instructions enclosed or on web)

You just hold the dh button and then you see cal show up on the digital screen. After that you release it and it is fine.

This Cooper Atkins thermometer is guaranteed to be accurate for the life of the unit. Because of this, there is no way or need to calibrate it.


Ice with some water in a cup, dip the thermometer in and hold the S-H button until you get a reading "CAL".
