International Tableware, Inc. (ITI) has been a leader in chinaware and dinnerware options for the foodservice industry since 1986. Their line of porcelain is lead-free and fully vitrified, which is a high-temperature process that ensures the ceramics will not absorb odors or moisture. And since all of ITI's stoneware and porcelain is oven safe (up to 350° F) and dishwasher safe, you can count on long-lasting durability for your business. ITI excels at creating beautiful mix and match pieces to help you create a unique look perfect for your brand. Don't sacrifice quality for value when it comes to your chinaware—shop hundreds of different dinnerware options from ITI today!
ITI Dinnerware Edge Styles
ITI chinaware comes in a variety of edge styles to suit the needs of your business. A "rolled edge" features a classic, medium-sized rim that is known for its durability and dependability. Conversely, a "narrow rim" features a smaller outer rim which allows you to fit larger portions on the plate (but could be more difficult to grab when serving/clearing the table). A "wide rim," as the name implies, features a dramatic outer rim that draws attention towards the center of the plate—this is perfect for expertly-plated dishes! Finally, "embossed" chinaware features delicate embellishments that add sophistication for fine dining settings.
Popular ITI Dinnerware Colors
Like most commercial ceramic chinaware, ITI features a variety of "white" colors that should be taken into account before purchasing. While we love to mix and match styles at Tundra Restaurant Supply, mixing ceramic whites would just clash on your tabletop!
American WhiteAn instant classic, "American White" is considered an off-white that might even look beige in certain lights and settings. Great for uncompromising value and dependability, American White works well in any setting, from farm-to-table, fast casual and more.
Bright WhiteITI's "Bright White" porcelain collection is the closest to true white that you can get. Comprise of a mixture of different premium clays, Bright White is an elegant dinnerware solution perfect for fine dining tabletops.
European WhiteConsidered as an artisan and traditional tableware color, "European White" falls in between American White and Bright White on ITI's color spectrum. Featured in unique shapes and fresh designs, European White is a versatile dinnerware option perfect for a wide range of tabletops.
ITI Dinnerware Care and Maintenance
Chipping and breakage are key threats to your dinnerware investment. Help protect your dinnerware by teaching staff proper handling techniques such as not piling plates too high, or worse, stacking heavier items onto lighter ones. Avoiding the use of metal utensils or metal pads to scrape food of dishes before washing, and once a plate is cleared from the table it should go straight into soapy water (which prevents food from drying on plates and causing more scratches or stains). Also be sure to take a look at your dishwashing solution; an improper detergent concentration or hard water (such as a high iron content) could cause discoloration to your dinnerware as well.
