      The bottom of the Lodge - LPGI3 does not directly touch the cooking surface.

    cast iron and ceramic stove tops

    I've read that cast iron and ceramics don't go together as the ceramic will be scratched. How do I avoid scraching the stove top

      Thanks for bringing your question to Tundra Restaurant Supply Ron.

      We don't actually recommend using this Lodge LPGI3 20" x 10 1/2" Cast Iron Griddle, or any cast iron, on a ceramic-topped stove. Cast iron simply has a tendency to be a little rougher and will indeed scratch ceramic. When it comes to cooking on ceramic stove tops we recommend using another material.
