Strong moter and extra cups with lids

Comments about Waring Commercial Spice Grinder:

Bought this for our restaurant to grind dried chili peppers into a fine power. The unit has worked great so far. We had tried several other grinders but they would overheat too quickly so downtime made the task take longer. With the two extra cups, grinding the peppers take no time at all. We are very happy with this grinder.

Will this grind seed and nut flours (not butters), and will it grind small grains like millet and buckwheat? How about garbanzos?

Grinds rye just fine for cracked rye.

I'm not sure. It's fine for grinding nuts, as for the other stuff, I'd assume it would work fine, as long as you're not putting anything unreasonably hard in there. I'm attaching the spec sheet.

How fine does this grind spices?

            • A:

The answer is “pretty fine”. It is a push to grind machine. The longer you grind the finer it becomes. The shorter, the more course the results.

The machine can go very fine on things like black pepper, sea salt, dried herbs, dried chiles. Things like cinnamon and nutmeg get very fine, but they bring oil with them. If you grind them too fine they get sticky. That can be the nature of fresh spices. Ground cinnamon will not look like what you get at the store, close though. But, the flavor is amazing compared to pre-ground cinnamon.
