I hunted all over the web for this exact model, a.) because it was well designed, for use as modern shelving; and b.) because it was a well-known American brand, Elkay. If you're like me, and was expecting something spotless like one of their drinking fountains, forget it--this was clearly labeled "MADE IN CHINA" on a little vinyl sticker on the back. The company name was generic, not even Elkay, which explains the low price. It also helps explain the odd, black smudge marks all over the brand-new unit. Hoping this would be used as a clean, modern furniture item? Nope--get out the solvent and hope that all the sloppy marks all over it can be removed. It's sad that none of this was expected, but admittedly this wasn't going into the back of a restaurant's cold storage room.
