I've used Amana microwaves for years. It appears they are using cheaper materials in the construction of their ovens. The door latch assembly is a built in obsolescence part, bound to break rendering the oven inoperable. They need to remake this part.

Our commercial microwave died after 9 years of heavy use. We tried using cheep home models, killing them with in a few months with our high demand usage. So I decided to replace with a real commercial microwave. This is a work horse, easy to clean!

Actually, the air filter on this model in non-removable, so you never really have to clean it. Basically it's just a vented/grated surface on the exterior, but as far as "filter cleaning" goes, you never have to. If you feel that the exterior of the microwave is really dusty dirty, just use any kind of vacuum to clean the whole thing. But like I said, you don't need to actually "clean the filter." No, I do not recommend cooking a turkey in this microwave oven. You will need a microwave with convection heating to cook a turkey. You can also check out our countertop convection ovens, they would be a great compact option for cooking a turkey. This microwave does not have a digital clock. The clock feature is more common on residential equipment.
