Comments about Wells Single Waffle Maker:

I was tired of the dismal results from consumer waffle irons so I went into my local commercial kitchen equipment supplier and inquired there. They had one of these Wells in stock and they gave me a good price on it.

Unfortunately, it did not perform as well as expected from a commercial appliance. It's somewhat slow to warm up and I had to wait between making each waffle. I see that it is only 900 watts, whereas others in its category are 1200. This may explain its lackluster performance.

Otherwise the unit is built solidly.

Since purchasing this unit, I stayed a a major hotel chain that has waffle makers in their free breakfast bar. That unit worked well--possibly because it uses a rotating griddle.
