would this stove fit through a 30" door? can it be turned end by end or side to side to fit it through a standard door?

Thanks for bringing your question to Tundra Restaurant Supply Gary.

Unfortunately, aside from taking a hammer and saw to your door frame, there really isn't any good way to fit this Southbend S36D S Series 36" Restaurant Range through a standard-sized 30" door. We would not recommend turning it upside down to try and work it through the door.

  • Q:

Can you use all six burners at once?

Are the burners big enough to have 6 stock pots going at once?

Also I noticed on another site a stove similar to this said for 'commercial use only'. Can this be used in a household kitchen as long as we have a gas line? Thanks!

    • A:

You can use all six burners at once. Regarding 6 stock pots, that depends on how big your stock pots are. With that being said, this stove is FOR COMMERCIAL USE ONLY. The reason for this is that unlike stoves designed to be installed in your house, this stove is designed to be installed in an industrial kitchen. The big difference is that this stove has virtually no heat insulation, and the sides of it will get VERY, VERY HOT. This is ok in a large ventilated commercial kitchen, but it would cause problems in a smaller kitchen in your home, especially if you planned on installing it between two countertops/ other appliances.

It's really not a good idea to use this in your house. I'd recommend Viking instead.
