  • Q:

Does both ends have screws (or something to hook on to other equipment), also does the 9 inch just include the the straight end not the bent end?

What is the length of the bent part?

      Thanks for your question Heather.

This Southbend 1181125 9 5/16"" Pilot Assembly does not come with any attaching hardware. You'll want a 5/16"" ferrule and nut to complete installation. I've attached both parts below for your convenience.

Yes, the 9"" measurement is just the straight length of the bottom.

  • Q:

Dear Molly, Thanks for looking into my question - I have 2 Southbend Ranges which I will detail below:

    1st Range: Model X436D serial # 03D45560
    2nd Range: Model X436A serial # 03D45558

Please tell me that I can use the cheaper pilot assembly in these ranges because maintenance costs are killing me. Is that expensive one gold plated? I await your answer with dread.
By the way, do the tubes come with that little brass compression ring for the end of the pipe that makes the seal in the compression fitting? It is not pictured. Thanks for looking into this.

Both of your Southbend units require the 1177447 pilot assy (below).

The brass nut and ferrules do not come with the pilot, they come with come on the 1166004 double pilot adjuster valve (also below).

Unfortunately the 1181125 is not the correct pilot assy for your models/age units and we do not suggest using it. I hope this helps and I really appreciate that you include both the model and serial number in your question. That is a huge help!

  • Q:

What is the difference between this pilot light tube and Tundra #41374 beside the price? They seem identical.

They are VERY similar. They have almost the same dimensions:

Mushroom top to first bend: 4"
      Length: 9.480"
      Last bend to top: 1.531"

Mushroom top to first bend: 4"
      Length: 9.483"
      Last bend to top: 1.625"

The 1181125 fits the Southbend Cafe 300 series
And the 1177447 fits the Southbend 400, 300 and S series (used a more often).

If you can get me the serial number of your unit I can verify which pilot assembly you need. They are model/serial number specific.
