    • Q:

Is the 1 1/4 inch measurement the outside measurement of the leg of the chair and not the measurement of the actual glider?

The measurement given is for the overall dimension of the product.

These Square Plastic End Caps are measurements of the product itself. So, the inner dimensions of your chair leg need to be 1-1/4 inches.

    • Q:

There look to be several very similar products of the same 1 1/4 inch size, with the main difference being the 16 to 18 gauge of the chairs. Since I'm not sure of the gauge of the 20 chairs I have, I'm wondering how important the gauge factor is. Is a difference between 16 and 18 gauge going to make any real difference?

The gauge has to do with the thickness of the metal that the chair is made of. The lower the number the greater thickness of metal. 16 gauge is thicker than a 20 gauge metal.
