      Comments about Nemco Guide Rod:

This guide rod allowed me to rebuild my fry cutter for a lower price. My staff dropped the cutter on the floor and broke off one of the screw posts on the end of the Guide Rod. I replaced both guide rods and my fry cutter works great!

eTundra has the part you need to keep your equipment going!

I am going to assume that you have a 55450 FryKutter. In this case, the guide rods are fairly easy to remove. Make sure that the unit is placed upon a table or sturdy surface. It should not be mounted on the wall for this action. Once you have done so, you need to remove the wing nuts that secure the blades to the unit. Then carefully remove the blades, making sure that your fingers do not come into contact with the razor sharp blades. There is a small, black o-ring located on the guide rods above the stationary legs where the blades attach. Make sure to remove this piece and keep it for use with the new guide rods. These o-rings ensure that the push block does not damage the blades. After you have carefully removed the blades and o-rings, you can then push the guide rods up through the unit. To replace these, simply place the guide rods into the slots, guide them through the push block guide, replace the o-rings, reattach the blades, and attach the wing nuts.
