Comments about FMP 7 1/2 Qt Condensate Evaporator:

I bought one of these a year ago and it has worked very well 99% of the time but a few days when it gets really hot during the summer it overflows but that is very rare and for the price you can't find anything better on the market. I would probably just make it an eight quart and then it would be perfect.

    Service and delivery comments:

They have great products and prices and sell to the general public you don't have to be a contractor to buy things.

    • Q:

The condensate evaporator will be set on the floor. What should the minimum height of the airconditioner be above the floor?

I recommend that you call our sales team regarding this question. From my understanding, the condensate evaporators are normally installed inside the unit and for an air conditioner I am not sure what the height should be. I am sorry I could not be of more help but I know our sales team can get you the answer you need! 1.888.388.6372

    • Q:

What is the brand? Does it evaporate via a heating element? How does it work? Is it constantly on?

This evaporator is not branded. We get it though another distributor.

It operates by use of a float switch. Once enough water comes into the pan, the float raises and energizes the heater. Technically it’s always on, just not operating.
