While any large dish or important take out order could be considered an emergency in today’s commercial kitchen, the real emergencies are when a member of your staff slips and slices a finger or singes a few digits. Having the right emergency kit at the ready can help with warding off bad burns, illness, and even blindness. These kits are inexpensive, but invaluable when the need to use one arises. Be prepared for the worst, have a plan when accidents happen, and keep a few emergency kits always on hand. Better safe than sorry, as they say.
