Comments about Electrolux-Dito Greens Machine Stainless Steel Electric Vegetable Dryer:
We have this spinner at an 80 acre organic farm in Mass, and it gets a lot of use. Over time, the plastic basket's rim wears out, and the cap no longer fits on correctly. This causes violent vibrations(spinner jumps around, moves across room, unplugs itself). We have to buy replacement baskets once a year. Also, the plastic basket only has small pin-holes for drainage (as opposed to the slatted design that many other spinners have). As a result, it takes a full 5-minute cycle to get the greens fully dry. Also, water tends to pool in the bottom of the spinner, not draining out properly.
For the high price, this spinner does not increase efficiency all that much, and is rather high-maintenance. I still prefer the 5-gallon hand-crank spinner - it gets the greens dryer, faster.
However, it is easy to move around, and to clean. For the extensive use we've put it through, it's still working.
