It possibly could. More importantly, you need to know that pie dough and pizza dough are made in different ways and are affected differently when exposed to temperature. Also, the thickness may vary. This press is heated to ~200 degrees F, to press the dough to size.
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, regarding the Dutchess Bakery Equipment DUT/DM-18 Pizza Dough Press (and all our product offering), we cannot send or loan equipment for testing purposes. We avoid this type of thing because if a customer has tested a product, dirtied up the insides, and returned it after finding it doesn't suit their needs we would then need to still sell the product as new. We can't do this if the product has been used. If you'd like to discuss the functions or capabilities of this pizza dough press, or would like additional information regarding our product policies, please give a member of our Tundra Restaurant Supply team a call at 1-888-388-6372.
