The best countertop burner I have ever owned

5

I cook on a wood cook stove and use a countertop burner for the hot months. After buying and returning a cheap hotplate which was awful, I returned it and found your site. This is the best we've ever used. It heats up fast and cools down quickly. The heat is consistent and works for all my needs. I love having 2 different voltages. I can heat a gallon of water in no time on the larger burner and gently cook an egg on the smaller.

Is this unit safe for melting beeswax (for candlemaking). I use a double boiler and need to bring the water to a temp that will melt the beeswax (melts at 149 degrees F). Would it be better to use a single hotplate unit or a double. Sometimes I need to melt two waxes at the same time. Thank you!!

I talked to the engineers at Waring and they said this warmer can boil 4 qts of water in 32 min which means the unit can reach up to 212ºF. I hope this helps!
