The 14-inch blade on the Globe 14 inch Medium Duty Manual Slicer (G14) makes for a great addition to any medium-volume kitchen that needs deli-sliced meats. The blade can be configured for nearly translucent slices all the way to slices 9/16 of an inch thick, and the carriage is large enough to accommodate products up to nearly a foot in length, held in place by the special non-slip pyramid-shaped teeth on the grip. The Globe - G14 - 14 inch Medium Duty Manual Slicer is gravity-fed, so the cutting is entirely hands-free. The Globe G14 is NSF-listed and ETL-compliant.

Q:How is this model at slicing cheese?
A:Well, the G14 is a belt-driven slicer, so if you're slicing cheese, you'll eventually burn out the belt. For cheese slicing, you really need a gear driven slicer. The entry level gear driven slicer is the GC512, which will handle some light cheese slicing with ease. However, for intensive cheese use, I'd recommend the 3600N. It is ""ideal for cheese.""
