Thermocouples & Thermopiles

More often than not, if you’re cooking equipment isn’t reaching the right temperature, you can blame your thermocouples and thermopiles. These are the go-to parts that most technicians inspect first if you’re having temperature troubles, and you can be sure they’ve got a few different replacements in their tool kit. As a technician, if you aren’t familiar with the thermocouples and thermopiles you come into contact with on a regular basis, you definitely have a little homework to do. Picking up one or two extras, having them on hand for when you need to make a repair, and having the know-how to make the switch is pretty important.
