What Does a Refrigerator Compressor Do?
The refrigerator and freezer compressor is designed to increase pressure of the refrigerant vapor in your equipment and push it back to the coils on the outside of the refrigerator. When hot gas within the coils meets the cooler air temperature it becomes a liquid, and it's that liquid which flows into the coils inside of the freezer and fridge, absorbing the heat within your equipment and cooling down the air. From there, the refrigeration evaporates to a gas and flows back into the compressor, starting the cycle again.
