Comments about Kason 1094 Flush Door Closer Kit:

This is our second 1094 closer purchased from Tundra. Tundra provides great service, however, this product with the hydraulic closer feature is built to last for the short term. I reccommend that the manufacturer provide a more superior quality hydraulic mechanism for the daily user of a walk-in freezer. The design works very well with our freezer door which is used everyday. We will calculate/estimate the number of door "opens" & "closes" on an annual basis for your information. Perhaps this will help.....

        Service and delivery comments:

Tundra offers diverse product, equipment & parts line. Customer service is very helpful and all orders are processed & delivered promptly......

How can I remove the Kason 1094 from the door; I have tried prying from the top and bottom, but it is not moving.

            A:

There are 3 screws that hold the latch body in place on the door itself, make sure that these are removed. If it is still stubborn, you may want to wedge a pry bar between the latch body and the wall to dislodge the piece.

        • Q:

Hullo, I am interested in this product as a door closer for a tall set of kitchen doors (approx 3m high, glass with timber frames). Do have any idea of opening force required?

            A:

After reaching out to the manufacturer with your specific question, they do not have any specifics on force for this particular door closer, as it is on a hydraulic system for self closing into the latch. From there, the force needed to open from this closer would just be enough to unlatch the wheel.
