Wells - Countertop Fryers
There's a reason that a certain restaurant chain which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, relies on a Wells countertop fryer for their day-to-day operation. Durable and easy-to-use, Wells countertop fryers feature swing-up elements made of heavy-duty stainless steel to make your fryer simple to clean on a regular basis. Wells fryers also boast low watt density heating elements to extend the life of your oil. Countertop fryers are a great way to maximize your menu without sacrificing limited kitchen space. Shop Wells deep fryers from Tundra Restaurant Supply, and don't forget to stock up on your fryer essentials like fryer screens, fryer baskets, filter paper and more!
Gas Fryer and Electric Fryer Differences
Electric countertop fryers are ideal for restaurants and foodservice professionals who many not have access to gas lines within their kitchen. Electric fryers feature an open pot layout with an electric heating element wrapping around the outside of the oil tank. Open pot fryers have a narrow base or a 'cold zone' which allows sediments and other particles in your oil to settle into and away from your food. These types of fryers can be easier to clean than their gas fryer counterparts, which can feature tubes in the bottom of your oil tank, making it more difficult to reach the sediment zone beneath them.
With both gas and electric fryers, be sure you pay close attention to recovery time—recovery time is a number one priority of chefs. Why? The faster your oil reaches temperature after cooking food, the faster you can cook more food, particularly if the majority of your menu features freezer-to-fryer items. Not only does a fast recovery time keep your kitchen running smoothly, it'll help you save on energy costs. Electric fryers with high voltage and/or higher wattage on the elements can positively affect your recovery time.
