A long time janitor at Frito-Lay, Richard Montanez came up with the idea for Flaming Hot Fritos and, after presenting the idea to the company executives, his new idea became a reality. Today, those spicy chips are Frito-Lay’s top selling snack, and of course, Montanez was recognized. He continues to work for the company, although he now leads Multicultural Sales and Community Promotions. We salute you Mr. Montanez for being an inspiration to everyone, especially our janitor friends.
